*It is the same form for the persons (excepción en contextos gramaticales se puede gastar persons)

2B To say what is or isn't possible in a particular situation in the past, present and future

Es decir could no se utiliza para decir que algo fue posible o no (en el pasado) sino para decir que algo puede que pase o no en el futuro
